How does Needian help me to reduce stress and make better decisions?

We think that one of the major sources of stress nowadays is the continuous feeling that you have no time to finish all your pending work.

The human mind is capable of handleing from 5 to 9 concepts at the same time (see the Miller Rule). Given that the pending tasks average far exceeds that magic number, you could have lost control and be stressed out.

The only way to solve this problem, according to some methodologies (GTD ^®, ZTD ), is to collect (see Collect) every task and appointment you have somewhere and review them (see Review) in order to consciously choose what you are going to do (see Do) and what you aren't.

This will eliminate the feeling of loss of control, because it allows you to consciously, decide what things you have enough time to do today, and what things you do not.

How does Needian help me to control my email?

Email is growing continuously. Normally, we accumulate hundreds of emails in the inbox and mark them as unread in order not to forget that we have to respond somehow.

The result is that we just use the mail as a list of actions to perform tasks and events that do not have any kind of order or deadlines.

Needian helps you empty your inbox, and emails will not need to build up in it to use as reminders, but you can turn them into tasks or appointments with a single click and keep them organized (by date, project, place, contact and/or tool).

Why is Needian easier to use than other existing mobile applications?

The Needian interface has been designed with special care to make it simple and intuitive for any person:

You do not have to be an expert in technology.
We have minimized the need of typing on your PDA.
We have designed an interface that allows you to use your fingers at all times, eliminating the need to use the stylus on the PDA.

System Requirements

What are the basic requirements to start using Needian?: In order to use Needian, you only need a touchscreen mobile device with Windows Mobile 6.0 or a later Windows Mobile version installed.
Can I use Needian on a BlackBerry, an iPhone or Android device?: Currently Needian is only available for Windows Mobile, but we are working on versions for Blackberry, iPhone and Android. If you are interested, vote for your favourite platform and we will notify you as soon as it is available.
Does Needian sync with Microsoft Outlook?: Indeed, with Needian you can keep your emails, tasks, appointments, projects and contacts in sync. Therefore any changes you make in Needian will be reflected in Microsoft Outlook and vice versa.
Do I need to use Microsoft Outlook on my PC in order to use Needian?: Needian does not force you to have Microsoft Outlook installed on your PC, and works with any tool that synchronizes with Pocket Outlook. However, it is recommended that you install and sync all your data with a PC. Thus, apart from having a backup, you can access your information from your mobile device or PC.
Does Needian sync with other email clients?: Needian is compatible with any email client which can synchronize with your mobile device.

Configuration

How many email accounts can I use with Needian?: As many as you need. Needian does not have any kind of restriction in that regard.
Can I see the projects, places, etc on my PC?: Of course, just synchronize your mobile device with Microsoft Outlook or any other email client that can be synchronized with your mobile device. After synchronizing, all your data will appear using categories and specific tasks for projects, places, etc.
How much information (ie. tasks, appointments, projects, emails) can I manage with Needian?: Do not worry. We have tested Needian with large volumes of data with excellent results, and we are sure you will not have storage problems. The limit only relies on your mobile device storage.
